Haitian Amputees

Haitian National Amputee Soccer Team:

"When I lost my limbs in the earthquake I thought my life was over. But God helped me and now that I am playing soccer and working with great coaches. I have much hope for the future." - Cesar, Goalie

We had the opportunity to go watch the Haitian Amputee Soccer Team play today. After the earthquake, a missionary team moved down to Haiti to assist earthquake victims and organized the team along with International Institute of Sport.

Watching these mens hearts and spirit today was inspirational and I am sure it gives pride to the local Haitians that have endured many hardships.

Because this team was formed after the earthquake they have never had the chance to qualify for the world cup but they have been invited to compete this year. Sadly, they cannot afford to go. If you want to donate to help this team compete in the world cup go to www.iisport.org
