Halloween

I usually pride myself in accomplishing not one, but two Halloween costumes per year. Last year, I successfully completed a costume change in the middle of a party. And if you know me at all or are my facebook friend, you know there is no occasion too small for a costume.

Easter. 

My last ever final exam of college. Didn't you wear a princess costume too? 

But sad to report I did not partake in the festivities this year. I could have. But just wasn't in the mood. I know some Christians choose to not celebrate Halloween and yes, I slightly judge you. Sorry. Let your child binge on candy,  use her imagination and dress as a princess and feel like one for a night. Or dress like this kid... 

Nothing evil here. 

But to be honest, I didn't partake because Halloween is evil. It is not like American Halloween where most of it is innocent (besides slutty costumes). In Haiti, it literally is an evil Voodoo holiday with sacrifices and devil worship. I heard there were thousands of people on Sunday at the dumping ground of the bodies after the earthquake trying to raise the dead. Voodoo is prevalent, real and freakin' scary in Haiti.  There are no trick-or-treaters, princess costumes or candy. 

Trust me. If I could have dressed up as Avatar, Snookie or a plate of rice and beans (b.c. I literally do feel like a walking plate of rice and beans most days) I would have. 

Although my two fav men represented as Chilean Miners... 

Dan has the dark skin going for him, but Chad lived in Chile. 

Tough call- you both look great.
